Father's Day Shenanigans~

Halo ^_^
Currently typing this in the car which is proving to be quite difficult thanks to the lovely Irish countryside roads. <3
Yesterday was Father's Day here (well technically today since I'm typing this on the 17th but won't post this until tomorrow wtf) so I thought I would introduce the world to my daddy!

Lolol. Now you know where I get my derping talent from. I told him to smile in the first picture and he ruins it, then in the second I'm like "orz fine then, we'll make weird faces" and he wasn't even ready. u_u

I got him the coolest Father's Day card tbqh;
We always buy each other cards like this, it's almost like some sort of odd family tradition. Mainly because the really OTT cheesy make-you-wanna-gag ones are just.. *shudders* idk I just like my cards to have some humour in them. u_u

We both went to the market in town and met up with some aunties/uncles/cousins and had some tea. :3 The market was quite nice actually until it started raining. -_-' I bought a few things so I shall probably make a ~*~haul~*~ post laters.

Moving on~ I decided to take a couple of instax photos (need to get out of the habit of calling them polaroids lolol) to remember the day and I also didn't take any instax photos of/with them before! :o

Daddy & Lady~ I love how she's looking at the football like *_____________*

I'm the only one who smiled in this one again omg. My dad....could also possibly be smiling but pretty sure he's squinting at the sunlight and mam looks like she was about to say something otl.

-nao typing this on the 18th at my desk lolol-

After some reaaaaaaally om nommy food *drools* we went to my grandparents for a few hours. I made them Madeira cake since it's seems pretty fool-proof and they both like it. But I couldn't taste it beforehand to make sure it was edible cause there would be an obvious piece missing from it so when we had tea there I legit dived to get the first slice of it to make sure it didn't taste absolutely awful and.....it tasted pretty awesome. ;D I should be a professional chef wtf.

I was looking through all of my grandparents old photo albums (because I am a creep and like looking through peoples things D:) and I found this picture;

My granddad and baby me ^_^ and also my cousin and then my granny in the background too. He looks so happy in it, because obviously he is so proud & happy to have a granddaughter as amazing as me. *supermodest*

Every time I look through my grandparents photo albums I end up taking some photos home with me though. o.o I will soon end up with their entire collection tbh. My granny has an album full of pictures from the 50s and it's so awesome. *_* She looked so pretty wtf granny wae you no share your good genes with me? *shakes fist*

My Super Interesting Week

Hello ^_^

I'm not even sure what day it is today. I think it's Tuesday/Wendnesday......*checks phone* yup it's Wednesday! This is what summer does to me, and also it completely screws up my body-clock. -_-'

Since we had pretty good weather some days last week/weekend (other days it was lashing rain the whole day o_O) I went for some walks since there's not much else to do when you live in the middle of no where you know~

Lady loves going for walks multiple times every day. I swear she has an unlimited supply of energy. Lucky her. o_e

Daisies(and also a buttercup trying to photobomb). I would say they're one of my favourite flowers 'cause they're so simple yet pretty at the same time and 'cause daisy chains are awesome.

I am too artistic yo~ everything has gotten really green recently. Everything meaning grass/leaves and the likes. Maybe it's been like that for a while and I'm only copping on now cause /insert slowpoke meme/

Am I weird for having bread with fruit salad? People are usually like o_O when I mention it. I just like bread you know. Actually I made this bread myself~ I love bread. Bread is amazing. Bread bread bread bread bread. Repetitiveness. Oh and that's natural yoghurt mixed w/ manuka honey on the BREAD btw. I'm trying to eat healthier again since over the past few months I've been eating really bad food orz

Evidence of my cray cray body-clock. I couldn't sleep at all one night so I then decided sometime after 4am to go for a jog/walk. It was only starting to get bright and the moon was still in the sky. D:

Everywhere looked really pretty so I couldn't stop taking pictures, probably due to my lack of sleep deliriousness. You can sort of see the cows in the distance here.

It took me ages to get the right position for this one. *dedicated photographer*...sort of.

I looooove the quietness of really early mornings. It's so peaceful, apart from the birds making a shitload of noise. *shakes fist*

Sunrise~ which look soooo much nicer IRL, but I was only using an iPhone camera so I wasn't expecting some sort of masterpiece. >_<' Watching the sunrise and stargazing are two of my favourite things to do, I find it quite relaxing and all that jazz.

Ah yes~ other things I've been doing to keep myself occupied....

Sorting out all our photo albums. I swear my parents originally put them into these albums half asleep. >_<' Some of the smaller albums are grand but the big one is just all over the place. One of my aunties has her photo albums organised in a completely OCD way... I think she even records it down to the very date....wouldn't be surprised if she had the time too o_o

Reading! I used to read so much when I was younger, then I stopped for a while and now I'm starting to become my old bookworm self again. Got these at a second-hand bookshop over the weekend. I'm not even sure if I'll get round to reading them before summer is over though, then I probably won't have time during the year (thanks, LC ^_^) so I mightn't even get looking at these until next summer which sounds crazy rn.

This is the book I'm currently reading~ it's by the same author as the Mao book from the picture above. I seriously recommend anyone reading this post to check out this book if you haven't already. Maybe not those of you in China though since it's banned there. o-o Blogspot is more than likely banned there too so..

Oh~ and I got these two awesome photo-frames in town at the weekend in the second Cara Pharmacy shop, I didn't even realise they sold such awesome stuff upstairs I was like O______O *grabby hands*
I chose a picture of my baby me and my dad, since my dad always derps in photos  and this one turned out pretty nice. Also most of our nice family pictures seem to be landscape. Second picture is me (I think I was around 7-ish) and my old cat Felix as a kitten. RIP Felix *sobs* me and my mother cried so much when he died omg. TT___TT

And I shall end this with a photo of Sheba being her usual lazy self and sleeping on my bed!

Bye! ^_~

Hello, Summer

Time definitely goes by quicker the older you get, because 5th year flew by way too fast........ and technically I am a 6th year now WTF?! O_O
I finished my exams on Friday (June 1st), of course music was the last exam as usual tschhhhh.
But whatevs, I am now free for (almost) 3 months to sit back, relax and catch up on music, TV, dramas, books etc. etc.  ^_^ I decided to start learning how to play the guitar to keep me occupied and also if I get a better camera, I might learn a bit about photography because I've been meaning to for ages now....like maybe over two years. *procrastination*

The weather has been osm lately, like last week & the week before you'd swear we weren't in Ireland any longer cause the weather was just glorious which resulted in me getting some lovely tan lines.

It gave me an excuse to eat a tonne of ice-cream though. ^O^ Calippos are amazing *drools*

Being totes artistic with Lynnie in her back garden~ this is before we watched the Eurovision together! ^O^

I like this picture, even though my head looks huge next to Lynnie's lolol. But somehow the angle makes my arms looks way skinnier than they really are so I'm like aw yeah =_=

Obligatory derpy selca.

Was actually pretty disappointed with Ireland's result but oh wells! I still had fun watching the show, and I am now just slightly obsessed with Can Bonomo. I even downloaded his album from iTunes. o_o

2 days ago (June 2nd) I had my first performance with my school choir outside of the school... like seriously, I've been in the choir since 1st year and we've never done any performances outside of school. u_u Anyhow, it was at Phil Coulter (dude who wrote/composed Irelands Call...at least I think he wrote it too? idk... too lazy to check.) and he's composed other shizz too but also too lazy to check. He was actually quite diva-ish... he was supposed to accompany us for three songs, but last minute he changed it to only one song, and my music teacher would have to accompany us for the others and she had to bring her own piano cause he wouldn't let her use his otl. But it was still a pretty cool experience & decided that Shauna & I shall enter the Eurovision in the near future with a top secret song that will blow your minds away and amaze you. o_e

Creeping on Lily who is like *glares* :3

I think I sort of ruined this picture oopsies. Lynnie & Lily are like *big smiles* and I'm like *WAIT WTF I AM NOT READY FOR THIS PHOTO HALF-SMILING*

Okie, so I shall go now & read! Still reading Wild Swans by Jung Chang cause I had to abruptly stop reading it for a while since I had no time w/ school, exams & shizz. Yup.........so I never know how to end my blog posts so goodbye for now?? ^_~

Eurovision 2012 Favourites & General Fangirling

Hello! ^^
May is my favourite time of year for mainly three reasons: my birthday is May 17th, it's the last month of school before holidays and....... THE EUROVISION IS ALWAYS IN MAY!
Honestly though, sometimes I think I get more excited for the Eurovision than my birthday wtf.
Anyhow, the winning song from the year I was born was actually from Ireland. It was our third year in a row winning. AW YEAH~ it's such a pretty song though, probably one of my favourites.<3

It was also the first year people could actually see the jury spokesperson from each country and we also had a super awesome Riverdance performance during the interval:

/end of random Eurovision history lecture. o_O

Now, I shall share my favourite/least favourite entries for this year! Mainly because the world needs to know  of my awesome taste in music. Listing them in no particular order since I don't really have a favourite as such yet...

Serbia

Love love loveeee this song. 'Tis so pretty. Random fact but Serbia's song from 2007, Molitva (Prayer), is one of my all time Eurovision favourites. :3

Iceland

This song is so epic orz. For some reason it sounds slightly Irish-esque at parts but I bet everyone else will be like "wtf no it doesn't???" so I'll just be quiet nao. :3 It also sounds pretty Eurovision-esque compared to a lot of the entries this year which is another reason why I like it so much.

Turkey

I have a feeling a lot of people will dislike this song but I THINK IT IS AWESOME OKIE. It's just really fun and super catchy and I like how they used some traditional instruments too. Also I think the guy is quite good looking and that's always a plus you know you know~ tbh I think I should be in the music video, I'd fit in amazingly well with all the awkward dancing going on. ^O^

England

I had to do a double take when I first read Engelbert Humperdinck was representing England, idk it just seemed so random. o.o Anyhow, this song is beautiful and if you don't like it you suck. x

Ireland

*is biased* there's something about Jedward that makes it difficult for me to hate them, that being said they still irk me a lot. I loved Lipstick last year, I still can't decide which song I prefer though. But srsly though, I hope we do well this year again. I was so happy that we actually made it into the top 10 haha. SO PLEASE, VOTE FOR IRELAND THIS YEAR AND I WILL GIVE U A LIFETIME SUPPLY OF POTATOES <3 bribery ftw.

Croatia

I usually don't really like the really dancey(rly technical term tbh) songs but there's something about this one that I love. Also it sounds pretty Eurovision-esque too compared to other entries IMO!

Okie so they are my favourites for this years Eurovision. If your country made the cut then you should feel extremely honoured and stuff. But I'm also really liking Estonia, Demark, The Netherlands and France's entries. :3

And nao, here are the two most WTF entries of this year (IMO ><)

San Marino

I think this song was inspired by Friday - Rebecca Black wtf...

Russia

PARTY FOR EVERYBODY!!!! My favourite is the smallest granny, she's so cute. >O< But seriously, this is so bizarre hahaha.

Austria's entry this year is pretty weird too...which reminds me of how there was a discussion of how Austrian people were odd in my German class one day. My German teacher was actually the one who started it lol.

*is now super excited for Eurovision* too bad it happens right in the middle of my summer exams. D: I'm still watching it though!!!!! Just hoping I won't have more than one exam the next day though. u_u
Before I go I shall say this again: VOTE FOR IRELAND OKIE. We need to win cause I wanna attend the Eurovision next year! That is a good enough reason to vote for us~
"A vote for Ireland, is a vote for Shauna's happiness."
O_________o uhm yes ok goodbye!

Market Haul~

Hola ^_^
I think today was my..... 3rd or 4th time at the Sunday market in town. If you happen to stumble across thing and are from Cavan and have no clue where this market is; it's where the pet farm from years ago used to be. If you don't know where that is, then basically it's before you come to the roundabout for the bypass, on the Cavan-Ballinagh road... I think. *terrible with directions*
If you love bargains, then you'll really like the market since it seems to be getting bigger each week. But there are some stalls that are basically just piled with shit that no one would ever want to buy. -_-' Anyways, this is what I got.......

Just a random hoodie for wearing around the house/when I don't feel like dressing up... which is a lot of the time orz.

It was only €1 though, so awesomeeeeeeeeeeee~

*is obsessed with cardigans* this was also only €1!

It's a little bit worn but whatever, still in great condition nonetheless.

This still had the label from the store on it~ only €4! I'll probably wear it with a hoodie/t-shirt or sth over it though cause strapless dresses look dumb on me. (broad shoulders + practically no boobs O_o)

Pandora bracelet! Obviously not the real deal haha. My auntie was telling me how my cousin bought a real one for his girlfriend and it broke on her. D: They got it repaired but she's afraid to wear it anywhere now in case it breaks again, such a waste of money aaaah.

It was €6 btw!

So I didn't really like the weird handbag charm that came with it, so I did a bit of a swap and.....

I replaced it with my Heechul 'Hee' Chinese character charm. Actually it was from a necklace but I think it looks nicer like this. ^_^

I could sell this on eBay for like €20 or something tbh. But I like it too much heheh.

Unintentional photo LOL. The button for taking photos wasn't working properly so I was like =_= and then that happened....

Now onto food! 6 scones for €2.50 yeeeeeeeeey. We got them last week and they were so yummy.

I forget what this is called. o.o But it looked nice so I wanted to get it.

I can't remember how much this was even. Excited to try some for lunch though! *obsessed with food*

And that is everything I got! :o There was this woman who had like 5 boxes full of these really nice dresses (still had the labels on and everything) but I couldn't find anything in my size and I was too lazy to look through the boxes >_<' But next week she's getting a proper stall set up so mebe I will get something from her. Though I already have too many dresses that I don't wear very often as it is orz.

But yes, goodbye. ^_^
