Fujifilm Instax Mini 25 Review

I've been meaning to blog about this for a long long long looooong time now. I am the worst person for procrastinating wtf. Anyhow, I decided I would share my experience with this instax camera and show some examples of pictures I've taken!

I got a Hello Kitty themed one! So typical lolol. You can get them in a good few different colours and 'themes' like Disney characters, Rilakkuma etc. I bought mine from YesAsia. Also keep in mind that the themed cameras will cost a little more than the plain coloured ones.

I knew keeping the box it came in would come in handy some day.

This is basically the only information about the product you get in English. The entire instruction manual is in Japanese, since it was a Japanese import after all.

But honestly, you really don't need an instruction manual to figure out how to work it. It's pretty simple!

See? There's very little settings, making it easy to use. You have to play around with it a few times to see what settings suit different situations best. I definitely recommend keeping the darken setting on when outside, cause if not your picture will most likely look like a strobe light. o.O

It has a built-in front mirror which is amazing for taking self-shots. Every camera should have one!

View from the side when it's turned on. Ignore the clutter in the background wtf.

I definitely recommend this camera! There's something much more exciting about taking a picture with this and waiting for the film to develop rather than just taking a picture on a digital/phone camera. It's perfect for birthdays, weddings and other special occasions. Who said film was dead?!

Now time to share some pictures I've taken with it in the past! They look better in person, since the scanner doesn't seem to do them a lot of justice.

The end! You can buy different accessories and whatnot for them too. I bought a cute purple photo album from eBay (you'll find tonnes of stuff for them on there). You can also get coloured/themed film rolls too, but they're more expensive than the regular film, which is also pretty pricey to begin with. *sadface*

If you have any other questions about it, leave a comment! ^_^

A Week In Pictures~

Hey hey ^_^
I'm doing my usual dump a tonne of pictures in one post thing~

It was my cousins wedding last weekend! The cake looked so pretty, but I never got to eat any of it. T-T It was an amazing day though, the weather turned out really nice and we all had an awesome time.

I even had a seat reserved for me, 'cause I'm a VIP yo. u_u The food tasted so niceeeeeeeeeeee. I was so full after the meal, but I worked it all off with all the awkward wedding dancing I did wtf.

Me with my cousins Siobhan & Nathan. ^_^ It's such a random thing to have in a hotel lolol. They also had these life-size cardboard cut-outs of David Beckham, George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

I got those Sally Hanson nail polish strips...I think that's what they're called. I had them on for less than 12 hours and I somehow managed to chip them in that time. >_<'

Lady being her usual weird self~

In the car on the way to Blanchardstown~ to do some shopping!

Stuff I got in Republic ^-^ from L-R:
  1. Light Pink/Nude Chiffon Hi-Low Skirt: super pretty & girly, cannot wait to wear it out. I've been looking for a skirt like this for a while now.
  2. Collar Necklace: I've wanted one for such a long time, I think I got the last one in the store muahahaha.
  3. Zip-Front Dress: if I go out before the end of Summer I think I'll wear this, it has an elasticated waist so the bottom flows out really nicely...if that makes sense o.o I tried it on in white first, but then decided to go with this colour cause me + white clothes could end in a total disaster. Clumsy for life yo -____-
  4. Rose Gold Peace Bracelet: idk I thought it looked nice so I got it. Rose gold is such a pretty colour.

Penney's have really awesome Hello Kitty/My Little Pony/Disney/idk what else t-shirts rn. They be €7 each and the quality feels really good for Penney's. I want more now but I must contain myself. o.e Please ignore how creased they look though lolol.

STAAAAAAAAAAAHBUCKSSSSSSSSSSSS <3 *SQUEALS* I got a chocolate chip mocha frappuccino, actually idek if that's the correct name. I'm basically gonna live in a Starbucks when I go to uni btw.

Went to Belturbetland w/ Lily  on Thursday to visit Roi, who taught me how to make some weird head-thing out of a towel wtf.

It was Lily's birthday yesterday! She's 18 now! Yaaaay! We look so short next to her wtf.

Cajun chicken panini from Delish. It was actually one of the nicest paninis I've ever tasted. *_*

Some drawings Roi drew for Lily, super amazing right?!

LOOOOOOOOOK!!! ROI DREW THIS FOR ME. ^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^__^_^_^__^___^
Really I think I'm gonna frame it & put it up in my room.

Shauna wouldn't let me take a picture with her. =_= But in the photo it actually looks like I'm blocking her face with my hand lolol. Well, it sort of does. But that would mean I have a really short arm wtf.

Last but not least, a derpy picture of moi.

The end. o.o
Ps. WELCOME HOME LYNNIEEEEEEEEE! I MISSED YOU. T-T <3

Party Party

This is gonna be a super quick post with a shizzload of pictures because I wanna get this up before Lynnie goes away to the Gaeltacht tomorrow!! *cries* so excuse all typos / lame captions for photos and all that cool stuff.

Last Sunday I had an extremely belated party/sleepover for my 18th @ Lynnie's house. I decided to have a theme and I went with retro since it's pretty vague and I wanted people to choose for themselves what era they'd like to be. Mhmm I am so nice like that. ^_^

~Outfit show & tell time~
*awkward camera poses* So I choose 60s as my era. I think my dress definitely does look quite 60s and my attempt at a half-beehive worked okay I think. Since I suck with hairstyles. o-o Oh and I also did Twiggy-styled makeup but toned down a lot. Mainly because I was sort of scared to try out false lashes. Lolol.

You can see the beehive a little better here. Not too shabby right? :o

Another selca. O_O

*coughs* and another but this is the last of my camho shots yo. This one is my favourite methinks.

Lynnie! She did 80s style~ looking very Blondie/Madonna/idk who else-esque.

"They did that in the 80s!"

*is beginning to look like proper 80s photoshoot* orz nao I feel embarrassed for my awkward posing lolol.

Lily ^O^ who was also 80s. Notice the couple shoes with Lynnie kekeke.

*shouts* kawaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii~

Roi chose 50s so she looked super classy & elegant. So perdyyyyy. *-*

*cries* our makenae looks all grown up~

*just noticed* Roi has a really nice side profile. o-o

Last but not least; Shauna the hippie! I thought it was funny how instead of saying she was 60s I kept on saying hippie lolol.

Now for some obligatory trippy hippie pictures...

Embracing a lamp. o-o Hippies are totes cray I tells ya~

Caoili (Lynnie's lil' sister) took over as photographer to take some group photos of us all together. Actually this always happens on occasions like this at Lynnie's house lolol. Danke, Caoili. ^-^

~walking through the eras~ even though none of us are in the right order of era. Oopsies.

Lynnie is the only person who actually changed their pose. >.< Oh wait actually my arms are in different positions. I guess that sort of counts~

Roi was about to ditch us here. *sobs* I look like I'm dancing/about to fall/diving/running awkwardly/etc.

Doo-poses!

peekaboo. O_O

~Other random pictures~
Shauna & Lynnie~

me, Lily & Roi~

Lily & Roi~ I love Roi's falsies here. :3

Roi & Lynnie~ our two adorable maknaes ^o^

Lily & Lynnie~ 80s derp.

More 80s derp for everyone!

Really cannot remember what was going on when this was taken. o-o

And again with bonus hippie Shauna in the background~

Pictures of polaroids I took!

A picture of me taking a picture of all of us on my instax. I was gonna say pic-ception but...you can't really see my instax so it doesn't count. =_=

-STORY TIME-
Once upon a time Lynnie wanted to take a picture w/ Shauna doing a cute pose but Shauna became distracted by someone else and.....
Lynnie was left all alone and sad and looked super silly cause she had no one else to do her pose with.
But suddenly a wild Shauna reappeared and.......
Lynnie was finally able to achieve one of her lifelong goals and take an ultra osm picture with me!!!!!!!!! THE END. BRINGS A TEAR TO MY EYE EVERY TIME WTF.

We decided for food that we would all make pizza together and it turned out really good! Although it was mainly Lynnie & Roi's work lolol. Of course we leave the youngest to cook.

Kitchen fun~ my "OMG PIZZA YAY!!" face, Roi looking like a proper 1950s housewife in the kitchen and Riri with her amazing giraffe ears.

Nomnomnomnomnom. Roi's heart-shaped pizza is blocked by the chips orz.

OMFG I LOOK SO CREEPY HERE BUT YES THIS IS BIRTHDAY CAKE. So altogether for my 18th bday I've had... 4 cakes. O_O But really I'm sort of scared of myself after this picture. v__v

Playing with the balloons kekeke~

Afterwards we had an osm dance party with equally osm songs from yesteryear! Let's just say there was a lot of dodgy dancing done...mainly from me. o_e

The morning after. O_O tbh, I think we don't look too bad considering we got like barely any sleep. (and also cause I'm not directly looking into the camera ;D)

Then we realised Lynnie was taking pictures of us lolol. *hides*

And that is everything! Did anyone survive the huge amount of photos? o-o Greetings, if you did. You win the most amazing prize evar. But I can't tell you what it is.

Lynnie, I hope you see this before you leave! D: I shall miss you dearly *sniffs* but never fear 'cause we shall all be reunited together again sooooooooooooooon. Have an osm time & I promise I shall write to you! :3 omg I said 'shall' too many times orz. yolo and all that jazz. u_u
